In Memoriam: Willem Bouma
On 20 December 2021, Willem Bouma, co-founder of Bouwen met Bouma’s and advisory board member, passed away to our great sadness.
Since Willem founded Bouwen met Bouma’s in 2006 with his brothers and sisters, he has always devoted himself with enthusiasm to the foundation. No less than five times (2006-2010) he traveled to Zambia for six weeks to roll up his sleeves. His experience as a carpenter naturally came in handy. Willem was happy to share his experiences during the many presentations he gave about BmB. He could enthuse others and involve them in the foundation like no other. In recent years he remained active as an advisory board member for the Bouwen met Bouma’s foundation.
Willem, we will always be grateful for everything you have done for the foundation and for Zambia.
